The first field trial phase includes only sporadic trials with DRM+ and has relatively poor coverage. DRM+
reception works mainly locally in the broadcasting area due to a non-optimal antenna placement, and is
limited to a narrow sector over the water directed towards Lidingö/Nacka Strand. Sporadic reception is
possible with a good antenna in the major north Stockholm area. Under the current circumstances in trial
phase one, we cannot recommend listening to or DX our test trials.
During the test phase two, we will have a proper antenna location with good coverage and broadcast
according to a specific schedule. We therefore encourage our listeners to wait until then.
How to receive DRM broadcasts?
Digital Radio Sweden has started test transmissions using DRM technology. These test trials will provide the
basis for technical analysis and are thus at this stage, i.e. phase 1, not primarily intended for the general public
to digest. However, we have received numerous requests and will herewith nevertheless provide some
information on the technical conditions for DRM reception.
(There are professional measurement receivers available for DRM+, but at a remarkably high cost).

searching the internet for the file faad_drm.dll, as the HE-AAC decoder dll isn't free for distribution due to
